Since 2010 the Zombie Soundsystem label has been putting out freaky late night tech house by a range of talented producers. Next up on the label for its 17th release is Lo, who serves up two more killer tracks stuffed with future cool and dance floor clout. Up first is ‘Modern Love’, a slick, deep and driving house tune with rubbery drums, haunted pads and a very real cosmic energy that permeates the drums. It’s uplifting and spiritual, groovy and slick and perfectly fits in with the MO of the label to date. Next up is Eastwood, a more haunting and intricate piece of work that stands out from the pack thanks to its effervescent percussion and its fierce kicks. Nimble but spirited, it closes the EP amongst an abundance of classy textures that won’t go unnoticed on the floor. Joining artists like label head Shane Watcha, Jonny Cade, Kasbah Zoo , Alex Bizzaro and many others, Lo is now a firm part of the excellent Zombie family and on this evidence is a talent that needs watching very closely.
